As a member of the Chamber, you have the opportunity to host and showcase your business at your location, or a location of your choice. After Hours Events allow business members of the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce to showcase their business and market their services in Wellington.

Be Sure to Join Us!

Business After Hours is held monthly (usually the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of every month). The Chamber provides e-mail invitations that are sent out to the Chamber membership several times before the event and the Host provides drinks, appetizers, and information about their business. A brief update of Chamber events, an introduction of new members and membership networking opportunities make for a worthwhile event.

Host Information

All Business After Hours Events is held on the second Thursday of each month from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Attendance may range from 30 – 60 people. The ideal location is to host at your place of business. However, selecting a larger facility or co-hosting with someone with a larger facility is also encouraged.

Hosts are responsible for preparing and sending or emailing invitations announcing the event at least fourteen days in advance of the event. RSVPs should be made to you directly.

Hosts are responsible for providing beverages and hors-d’oeuvres for the event guests. Hosts provide a registration table at the entrance to the event and will be manned by Chamber. The host business will have an opportunity to showcase their business to the attendees of the event.

Chamber Services

Provide the host business with an electronic mailing list if requested, mailing labels, bulk mail permit information and a sample invite postcard. Help promote the event through the website and other printed newsletters, etc. published by the Chamber. Send out an e-mail reminder to all of the current members. Provide assistance with the planning process including vendor and menu selections. Provide registration, sign-in sheets and name tags for the event.

The Chamber will provide an e-mail invitation to all active Chamber members (The proof of the invitation will be given to the HOSTS for approval prior to distribution). Additional postcards or personal invitations can be provided by the HOST.

A large table with two or more chairs at the entry door is provided by the HOST for registration and marketing materials. The Membership Committee members will greet and provide and monitor the sign-in sheets. HOSTS are encouraged to invite their staff and family.

There will be a brief update and new member introductions from the Chair of the Chamber. However, the focus is on YOU and YOUR business. It is encouraged that current educational, and/or information about your business be shared with your guests, and /or a tour of your facility if appropriate.  Give-a-ways and door prizes are encouraged.
